Mud Lake, surrounded by deciduous forest at the Britannia Conservation Area, attracts raccoons, frogs, turtles, blue herons, and foxes.
Ottawa West – Nepean also runs along the Ottawa River, which connects to several smaller rivers that run through the riding.
The riding is partly located in Ottawa’s Greenbelt, which is home to a variety of wildlife including bats, beavers, butterflies, snapping turtles, Canadian geese, and more.
