Kildonan – St. Paul consists of Winnipeg’s far northern end, and the rural municipalities of East St. Paul and West St. Paul. The Red River separates West St. Paul and East St. Paul and divides the northeasterly and northwesterly parts of Winnipeg.
The largest mature urban elm forest in North America is located in Greater Winnipeg. The area’s eight million trees include elm, ash, maple, oak, poplar, basswood, willow, birch, spruce, pine, cedar, as well as some fruit trees and shrubs.
