The area of the riding covers a land mass of more than 53,000 km2 (larger than the Province of Nova Scotia!).
Covered by both woodlands and wetlands, the riding is home to a variety of wildlife, including black bears, moose, white-tailed deer, lynx, coyote, bison, and wolves.
Riding Mountain National Park sits atop the Manitoba Escarpment. It consists of nearly 3,000 km² of protected forested parkland, and stands in sharp contrast to surrounding prairie farmland.
