Truro is considered the “hub of Nova Scotia” because of its location at a major junction of the Canadian National Railway. This has led to the creation of other industries, such as distribution and manufacturing. The Tim Hortons distribution centre, Sobeys distribution centre, and Stanfield’s Underwear head office are all located here.
From forests to minerals, Cumberland County is rich in natural resources. In addition to lumber and pulp mills, salt mines are also found in the area.
